BVL provides recreational and therapeutic programs and services to brighten the days of America's active duty and veteran service men and women. A veteran and now retired, I wanted to help others enjoy sports. With the purchase of my book, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to BVL. You'll be helping others enjoy what most athletes take for granted.
The phantom will help bring back the past with his guests and his trivia contest. The weekly podcast highlights many aspects of yesteryear and even a few current events. Over 1100 shows and over 400 guests in the 18 years on the air. Dick Weber was his first guest and it took off from there. Alan will be a guest of the show soon.
Pheel good music and travel tips provided by Phlash Phelps on his phunny pharm show. It's the 20th phlashiversary and I wanted to pay tribute to his 20 years on Sirius XM and hopephully many more to come. Phlash 54 where are you with your Phlashmobile? Phlash is the reason I subscribed to satellite radio making every trip more enjoyable. He has helped my travel planning with his roadside attractions and tips to enjoy the open road. He has a great Phacebook show on Thursdays with the Anthem girl. Keep up the good work Phlash!! With every trip, you need Sirius XM for music, sports, comedy and news. (See photo below.)
So far, the path to publishing my first book from several articles I wrote years ago, has been an eye opening experience and mostly positive. A few small potholes along the way to the printing stage, still kept the publishing date on schedule. My dream to to give back to athletes has now become a reality. All athletes stumble at times and my book should help eliminate many of the missteps that sports will throw at you during your career. Not all athletes are equal, but every dog has their day and one reason why you need to know about the 345 factors. Dorrance Publishing now has published a book to even the playing field, giving athletes a heads up for those that use their head, a great chance to enjoy sports more and become more successful in whatever sport they play! The $14 price is a steal of a deal. Take your game to a higher level!
I phinally got my shirt when the Livestream in Quarantine with Phlash and Janine show was going strong, with several great episodes. A thumbs up and their past shows can be phound on their Phacebook page.
This photo was taken at the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame. One of the all-time greats, Norm Duke who is one of two to win the Grand Slam, has given back to bowling by teaching others including me at various clinics. He is one reason I had success later in my career.
The photo on the left is a postcard stamped 1909 in Illinois and is my piece of bowling history. The Phoenix post card show is where I found this card. It was made in Germany showing a "wrong" two hander which is now the new normal for some that want to enjoy the great sport of bowling. I've included a link to the bowling museum and have visited both cities, St. Louis and Arlington that tells the story of bowling. Reno also has a satellite museum at the stadium.
This facebook page has over 100 photos from the 50's to the 80's and it's not all bowlers. A great collection to look through. He also has links to you tube videos to back up all the great photos.
This page has some great photos when bowling was having only one ball.
After Cactus Bowl (Photo on left.), a 60 lanes center when the pros came to Tucson, closed in 2014 with 32 lanes, Golden Pin Lanes with 48 lanes, closed in 2018 and also hosted the pros. The Arizona Daily Star had a tribute article for them. With all the incredible memories, I had to link to them.
I'll add your website to this impressive page of links that can enhance any athlete's game for just $10 per year.

Big buck bowling for amateurs. Divisions for all bowlers for that pot of gold!
NOTE: Joey Pirani of the Huntsville All Star League (Alabama), created an award for bowling websites and I was given the award in May 1999. He changed the link after I got this website going. Due to him possibly removing some great links for bowling, I have honored his awards here. I have only listed months that an award was won and the website is still active after over ten years. Many of the links have been broken, pages not available, websites up for sale and have been sold.
With the plethora of bowling sites appearing and the many requests for links, I decided to "award" the better ones. Here are my rules:
