Who said stats weren't important?

       To keep the league, I'm secretary of the most exciting league by publicizing and promoting bowling, by all avenues possible, for ALL THE MEMBERS as well as ALL THE SPONSORS of our league.

        This mission staement helped the Traveling Masters double in size in three seasons! I was willing to spend time making this scratch league atractive to most scratch bowlers and aseveral bowlers under a 190 average. The league that almost folded became the league that broke barriers by offering its members more than what other leagues were offering. I didn't even think that the league would double in size! 

        AND NOW I have a HOW TO website because I want to help others from getting

frustrated, so they continue their sports career and achieve GREAT things! As you just read, I was helping many bowlers years go and I still want to give back to our GREAT

 sport! The best thing in sports is winning a Major event! I'll be proud when an athlete uses my HOW TO book to win a Championship! Showing HOW TO help others, is why my HOW TO website has many  articles to help you achieve more SUCCESS in your sport! Thanks for stopping by!

           When you offer bowlers more prize fund for the entry fee, they will show up! It was getting sponsors to help build the league. More work for me, but wait, with more bowlers, I'll get a bigger secretaries fee. SO, IT'S REALLY, A WIN - WIN SITUATION and proud that I was able to help make the Traveling Masters, the GREATEST LEAGUE EVER! 

           Who would have thought that a secretary/ treasurer would do extra work? Think about what more teams would mean to the league. More money in secretaries fee and adding to the excitement of the league! More interest in optional events that defined the greatest league ever! More interest from sponsors to help the league and getting their company's name out there! Having the greatest sweeper that most didn't expect where bowlers could win over $1000 for bowling three games! Having great competition where at least two teams would win their weekly fees back and team members would still have a shot at an additional $1000 in the greatest sweeper around! Offering a few more optional events so that bowlers have more chances to win more cash over the season!

        As a added note, with a bigger prize fund, some might try to change things about the league. You already know this, if it's not broken, why fix it? The Traveling Masters president was trying to change a few things and after I was not getting help from the other league officers, I resigned after over nine seasons, and the league folded after the following season. NOT ALL CHANGE IS GOOD! At least I did the best I could, and most bowlers have shown me they appreiated all the work I did to help make the Vantage - Lite Traveling Masters, the greatset league ever!!

     Stats and promotions made the Vantage Lite Traveling Masters league, the greatest league ever. Doubling in size due partly to organizing Tucson's best sweeper (see picture on left) and promoting by every avenue possible. Alan wrote the weekly newsletters for the highlights of the competitive scratch league and a motivational segment. He promoted the league writing articles in the Desert Bowler, Arizona's monthly bowling newspaper. Was honored by Tucson Tribute and Honor in March 2011. The Traveling Masters league officers his last two seasons didn't work together to keep the league fun and competitive. Alan tried to rescue a handicap league after changing centers and lost several teams. History, promotion and stats are on display in this website so others can make their league more exciting and elect officers who'll hopefully put the league's interest over their own interest.

THE STATS & nothing but the stats! (Over four pages of stats every five weeks.) 

               The bowlers can Use the stats to improve your game. The stats could be used to go

       after a goal and the stats will show what you need to work on. The stats were used to

       WIN FREE SWEEPER ENTRIES! A free entry could help you win hundreds of dollars with

       over $8400 in total prize money for three games!

Who said PROMOTING isn't in the job description? (It should be!)

                Why Promote? It's letting your members know you care and shows you're willing to

       make a difference to make the league better!

                Promotions to help your league may just save your league! NEVER think that your

       league may be around forever. Centers are closing because they don't promote their

       business or buyers can't pay what the owner wants. 

Going the extra mile for the league. (The extra work helped the league double in size!)

             What works one day may not work the next. Tell them you're willing to do extra

       work. Showing members that you care, will help gain trust with members that want to

       stay in the league.

Share the good news! (Announce promotions and good scores fom bowlers!)

              I have enjoyed bowling and giving back to the bowlers as Mr. Stats. My promoting

       by all avenues possible made my leagues known to others who liked the publicity my

       leagues had. My promotions helped grow a scratch league to double in size. What I

       did as secretary is make the league unique and helped to retain current members.

       Bowlers spoke up by making the sweeper the reason why you joined the greatest

       league ever. Thanks to all who helped make the Traveling Masters league possible

       and continued to keep it going until the fun went out of the league.
